Hi, I’m Rodney Stockett, the District Executive Chef at Cabrini. I am married with three children, a newborn, a 2 ½ -year-old and a 5 ½ -year-old.
An amazing fact about me is I received an Associate’s degree from the Restaurant School in Philadelphia and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Hospital tourism a James Madison University.
My childhood dream job was to be an Air Force Officer. That all changed when my dad told me it consisted of two things: killing and breaking things and I was not ready for either. My first job ever was cutting grass on a military base. I have already done my dream job which was a chef at the Ritz Carlton.
My family is what motivates me everyday and my love for cooking is what inspires me to do my best. My role model is Julia Childs because she was an amazing chef and she was everything food should be.
My favorite food is duck and my favorite dessert is Profiterole. My favorite food at Cabrini would have to be the pork stir fry. Le View Bistro is my favorite restaurant. My favorite meal to cook is Duck Confit.
My favorite place to go on vacation is France and if I could go anywhere in the world, it would still be France.
My hobbies include tennis, golf, and Shakespeare. My favorite color is purple and my two favorite movies are “A Patch of Blue” and “Forrest Gump.”
