Hi, I’m Veronica Dunlop, the Sous Chef at Cabrini. I am married with two kids ages 22 and 25.

An amazing fact about me is I went to high school with Prince at Central High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I used to play basketball with him and His brother Roger at the Community Center. He was a year older than me.

I went to the Restaurant School in Philadelphia and received my Associate’s degree in Culinary Sciences. When I was younger, I wanted to be a Supreme Court Judge but once I found out how much it costs and the amount of schooling, I changed my mind. For my first job, I worked at a daycare for special needs children. My dream job is to be an executive chef at my own Jazz Club.

My motivation is God, caring about what I do, and making sure people get good quality food. This motivation also inspires my best work. My role model and hero is my mother because she is a strong woman with inner self drive, integrity, and charisma.

My favorite food depends on what day it is and my mood. Today, it is Jerk Chicken. I am not much of a dessert person but I do love fruit. My favorite food at Cabrini is the turkey burger and my favorite restaurant is Zanzibar Blue.

My favorite vacation spots are New Orleans (before the hurricane) and France. If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to Saint Lucia or anywhere in the Caribbean.

My hobbies include hiking with my dogs, backgammon tournaments, and shopping. This week, my favorite color is burnt orange and my favorite movies are “28 Weeks Later,” “Coming to America,” “The Notebook,” and “There’s Something About Mary.”
